In Costa Rica you can find many
abroad program volunteer organizations, that welcomes
volunteers who would like to assist with many different
abroad program volunteer and conservation projects.
As a volunteer, you will work closely with the Costa
Rica teen volunteering associations to, for example:
patrol the beaches at night, learn to identify turtle
tracks, find nesting turtles, count the number of
eggs, record tag numbers, assist with relocating
the eggs into a hatchery, monitor the hatchery,
and help to release the baby turtles back to the
ocean.

is available where you live with a Costa Rican family.
It is a wonderful opportunity to be immersed in
a new culture and become part of the community.
Green volunteers have reported that living with
the Costa Rican family was the highlight of their
Costa Rica volunteer experience.
In fact, it was suggested by many volunteers that
I add a note on our website about bringing a small
