Most important travel hint if you are in a group is
that we recommend that you bring your camera,
binoculars, sport supplies
and camping supplies, because you
can camp and go bird watching in the Forest Reservation
for FREE!

addition to your backpack we recommend that you bring
a smaller day-pack or bag for your hikes, bird watching
or trips to other islands.
For
your own security, don`t forget to bring your traveler
guides and maps from Costa Rica.
The
temperature in Isla Venado is between 65°F and
90°F average through out the year, thats why we
suggest that you bring light clothing, tennis shoes,
sandals, t-shirts, bathing suit, shorts, sun hat and
rain jacket if necessary.
On the island there is a small clinic, however we
it would be to your advantage to bring insect repelent,
sun screen, sun block, after-sun lotion, and any prescription
medicines that you may need.
